Mikura Construction was founded in 1950, and 2020 will mark our 70th anniversary. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic that originated in Wuhan, China, we were unable to hold any commemorative events for our 70th anniversary. Even in 2021, the virus from Wuhan shows no signs of abating. However, since we are in the business of maintaining and managing sewer infrastructure, which is directly related to daily life, we must continue our work. Of course, we take every possible precaution against viruses, and every one of our employees works hard every day under the motto of “sincerity”.
But we face a lack of human resources. People are the key to our business. Therefore, the most important thing for us is to secure human resources so that we can become an even more reliable company, and I want to continue to work on this issue so that our company can continue for the next 10, 20, 30 years and beyond.
2021 will be Mikura Construction’s 70th anniversary plus one year (70+1), and we want to make this the year that we do the things we couldn’t do last year.
Fortunately, coronavirus did not affect our work at Mikura Construction. Many people may think that a lot of viruses are present in sewer construction works. However, the World Health Organization (WHO) has said that viruses are no more prevalent in sewage systems than in other areas. Of course, we are making every effort to ensure that our people can work safely on site.
Finally, we look forward to welcoming you at our company; we can provide you with a place where you can play an active role, regardless of your previous experience.
Masahiko Nishizawa, CEO
